Latisse is becoming an increasingly popular prescription eyelash treatment for patients who feel they have inadequate or thinning eyelashes.
Latisse is a treatment prescribed by your optometrist to grow eyelashes so they are significantly fuller, longer and darker. The treatment is clinically proven to promote the growth of your own natural lashes.
We believe Latisse is the best solution for anyone who wants fuller, longer and darker eyelashes as it enhances your natural eyelashes.
As is the case with any prescribed treatment, we need to ensure that it is the right solution for you. While Latisse has very few and rare side effects of complications, our optometrists need to provide an assessment1 of your overall eye health to ensure you are a suitable candidate of Latisse. Latisse uses an ingredient called bimatoprost which promotes the length and quality of the natural eyelash growth cycle. As it is your own natural eyelashes that are providing the results, this treatment may eliminate the need for cosmetics or makeup to achieve the same visual effect.Latisse is administered topically using a brush, directly onto the base of the eyelashes.
Most individuals can expect to see some results in as little as 4 to 8 weeks, with complete results showing within 16 weeks.
In order to receive the full benefits of the treatment, it must be administered continuously to ensure the natural eyelash growth cycle remains bolstered. If treatments are discontinued, eyelashes will slowly revert to their original characteristics.
Latisse is applied with daily-disposable applicator brushes. Once used, the applicator brush is discarded (for sanitary reasons).Application is made to the lip of the top eyelash, where the lashes themselves grow. During application, ensure that you are not wearing contact lenses (avoid wearing contact lenses for at least 10 minutes after application).
Latisse is safe to use. However, in rare cases you may experience side effects when using Latisse. These include:
